Greene County Extension council elects officers

Four officers were elected during the Greene County Extension Council organizational meeting in January. The nine-member council annually elects officers to comply with Iowa law. Additionally, newly-appointed Council member Doug Rieder of Jefferson attended his first meeting.

Tom Heater of Jefferson was elected chairperson. Amber Lawton of Jefferson was re-elected vice chairperson.

Shari Minnehan of Churdan was re-elected secretary.

The council elected Jake Bohnet of Paton to the treasurer position. Pam Olerich was re-elected treasurer pro tem.

The council is the county governing body of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. The council hires county staff, manages the county Extension budget, and helps determine programming.
